Junior Accountant (6 Month Contract - Gst Focus)

5 days/week in excellent CBD office Start-up Financial Services business seeks a  Junior Accountant  to join on an initial  6 month contract , working 5 days/week in their CBD office .
The role will have responsibility for; Reconciling accounts and keeping financial records Month-end close  Tax compliance, including GST Processing payments and handling daily banking activities Balance sheet reconciliations  Generating invoices and receipts Preparing and lodging business activity statements (BAS) Producing balance sheets, financial statements and other financial reports You will possess; -2+ years experience in an accounting practice or financial services firm -Experience in Month-end close, Financial statement preparation, Recs, Tax compliance ( GST experience is essential ) -Xero experience   -Degree in Accounting  -familiar with cloud programs & tools -Strong communication skills (fluent English skills) -Full Australian working rights  -Team player mindset - culture is important!
