Our highly respected partner AGL Energy is at the focused on continuous improvement organisation wide. At the forefront of this is our Enterprise Services Technology team, which prides itself on innovation & collaboration. To that end, a new opportunity has arisen their team for an IT Workforce Lead. We are looking for someone who displays behaviours which reflect and actively demonstrate alignment to the AGL Values of: Safe, Sustainable, Inclusive and Focused.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to interact effectively with the IT community to provide a diverse and dynamic contingent resource pool to support the delivery of all IT based BAU and Project initiatives.

This role will provide a consistent, singular point of contact between the IT hiring manager pool and the P&C careers team to maintain quality, support policy/procedural adherence and ensure transparency of process for all stakeholders.
Through consistent tactical process and keen observation of relevant data, this role will support optimal labour utilization, cost and management overhead of the IT contingent resource population.

Key responsibilities

• Work with line managers, P&C business partner and Recruitment business partner to initiate the approval and acquisition of the contingent resources in regard to quantity and skill set and managing the resource/s to be available and in place at the time needed.

• Manage the provision of contingent resources as a service across IT by coordinating the contractor lifecycle from onboarding, provisioning through to eventual offboarding or conversion.

• Maintain a reliable database of contingent resources - skills/attributes, availability and locations to provide a single source of truth to support decisions around hiring, off-boarding, extension, and to allow effective, prioritised resource assignment

• Partner with the IT domain managers to ensure all initiatives requiring a contingent resource solution are appropriately resourced to enable teams to deliver the right outcomes in the right timeframes

• Identify upcoming opportunities or gaps in the workforce that may require fulfilment through the procurement and placement of contingent resources.

• Support reporting and analysis around headcount management, cost, tenure, time capture & recharge support.

About you

In this role, you will have demonstrated experience in;

• The management of contingent workforce resourcing and supporting processes
• Creating analytical reporting and identifying and tracking key metrics

• Matching resource demand to available talent supply drawing on a diverse range of resource channels

• Prioritisation skills, communication style, collaborative behaviour and ability managing competing requests

• Being articulate and communicating effectively at all business levels
• Managing stakeholders
