About the Role We are seeking a motivated and adaptable IT Support Officer to join the dynamic team. This role provides Level 1 and Level 2 IT support for approximately 300 users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues. You will be responsible for managing service desk tickets, supporting end-users, and handling asset lifecycle tasks, including decommissioning IT equipment.
Duties Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.Respond to, triage, and resolve service desk tickets within agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, escalating more complex problems to higher-level support when required.Assist users with day-to-day IT requests, including onboarding/offboarding tasks such as setting up user accounts and devices.Deliver support for productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, and cloud-based platforms.Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and tagging.Decommission and securely dispose of outdated or non-functional IT equipment.Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.Skills Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Windows OS, network troubleshooting, and common IT hardware/software issues.Customer Service Orientation: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective support and guidance to users.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse issues and implement appropriate solutions.Organisational Skills: Efficient management of service tickets and documentation in a busy IT environment.Willingness to Learn: Enthusiasm to acquire new technical skills and adapt to changing technologies in a public service setting.How to Apply Apply directly or for more information on this role, please email Zainab Afzaal at ******.
