As the Specialist Faculty Technology Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing both academic and administrative processes across the faculty.
You'll work closely with faculty leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement cutting-edge technology solutions, ensuring systems and software run smoothly, securely, and reliably.
From managing key faculty-specific tools to leading impactful technology projects from start to finish, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference.
A Day in the Life of a Faculty Technology Support Manager at UTS Cultivating strong, collaborative relationships with faculty leadership, academic staff, and administrative teams to understand their IT needs, priorities, and strategic goals. Managing and supporting a team of IT professionals, fostering a high-performance environment that aligns with university objectives. Offering specialised technology solutions and recommendations to faculty staff and academic leaders to optimise technology usage in teaching, research, and administration. Managing and maintaining faculty-specific systems and software, ensuring their reliability, security, and compliance with university policies. Assessing, evaluating, and onboarding new technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration with faculty systems and alignment with strategic priorities. Leading faculty-specific technology projects from inception to successful implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with faculty goals. Developing and delivering training to promote the effective use of technology, while staying updated on emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation. What You'll Need to Succeed Ability to contribute to a culture of client empathy, fostering productive and constructive interactions. Capability to manage high-pressure client support scenarios effectively. Strong ability to interpret and apply policy, procedures, and principles in service delivery and design. Proficiency with service management tools like ServiceNow, Intune, and SCCM. Experience with security and identity management tools such as JAMF, Okta, and Citrix. Familiarity with the 0365 suite, Microsoft Exchange, and other core enterprise technologies. Knowledge of specialised faculty applications and key server management. This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
