Join a small Federal Government Department as IT Project Manager! Your new company
This small Federal Government agency based in Barton, ACT currently has a requirement for an ICT Project Manager to oversee the delivery of various initiatives as part of their FY24/25 Technology Roadmap.
Your new role Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and budgets
Lead project teams in the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordinate resources and manage relationships with vendors and stakeholders
Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risk management plans to prevent and address issues that may impact project success
Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and facilitating meetings to discuss project status, risks, and issues
Manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used effectively and efficiently. Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and post-project evaluations. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
Adopt appropriate project management methods and tools, whether predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
Effectively manage multiple and often interrelated projects simultaneously, ensuring each project progresses according to its timeline and objectives
What you'll need to succeed 3-5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Agile, DevOps, MS Project)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Qualifications in Prince2, Scrum Master, Product Owner (or similar) project management certification
Experience with AI development would be advantageous.
