Role : IT Applications Manager
Location : Sydney / WFH Flex

As the IT Applications Manager, you will lead the development, deployment, and operation of essential clinical applications that drive our business forward.
You will play a critical role in shaping the future of the technology landscape, working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure all applications meet performance and scalability requirements.
This role requires someone with a deep understanding of RIS and PACS applications, capable of overseeing their strategic implementation and smooth operation in our organization.
Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of software developers, focusing on both performance and innovation, to design and implement state-of-the-art clinical applications.
Drive the procurement, management, and continuous optimization of clinical application solutions, ensuring robust integration with existing systems.
Build strong vendor relationships to maintain high standards for contracted services and hold vendors accountable to our performance metrics.
Oversee the engineering and architecture of new clinical application solutions, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and integrate seamlessly within our infrastructure.
Foster best practices for clinical application software development, emphasizing CI / CD principles and a shift towards product over project methodologies.
Manage software deployments, testing environments, and release cycles, with a proactive approach to maintenance, upgrades, and system resilience.
Actively collaborate with clinical leaders and other key stakeholders to encourage and support adoption of IT solutions that streamline operations and enhance patient care.
Troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring service requests, incidents, and change management are handled in accordance with company standards.
Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to design resilient systems that respond to and recover from potential errors and incidents automatically.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience leading and managing a team of software developers, with a focus on operational excellence and continuous development.
In-depth knowledge and experience with RIS (Radiology Information Systems) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) applications.
Strong background in software integration, with the ability to work across complex technical ecosystems.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional success and development.
Experience with CI / CD practices and agile methodologies is highly desirable.
