Our Client, a Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Network Engineer - Minor Works to work with the business to understand their requirements, and capture these in a technical solution.This role will be primarily based at their Perth location working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with regular site trips required once per month for up to 2 days in length at a time. On site days the successful candidate will be working up to 12 hours per day.Duties and Responsibilities:Working with IS&T stakeholders to design and deliver infrastructure minor works.Design and commissioning a variety of technology across multiple network functions – corporate, production, process control.Produce quality technical requirements and design documentation.Produce detailed change management plans, including implementation, back out and testing.Participate in asset and solution Transition to Support including handover.Required to set up transmission, WIFI, wireless within 5 buildings on site.Required to roll out the new network, hardware and 5 up to 10 Production Switches.Experience and Qualifications Required:Cisco CCNP level qualification or equivalent experience in design and implementation of IP networks and security.Proven experience relating to layer 2 and layer 3 protocols (REP, STP, OSPF, BGP). Understand what REP and BGP are.Ability to develop detailed design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, back out plans.Design and implementation knowledge and experience with Cisco Firewalls with the ability to implement new policies and troubleshoot access issues.Proven experience in technical design development and documentation.Experience with change management process.Mining experience desirable.Ability to work across multiple work fronts.Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.Hold CCA and CCNP qualifications.If you possess a positive attitude, work well within a team and have great attention to detail, please apply now to be considered for the role immediately.
