About the role
Reporting to the Head of Office of Superannuation Trustee (OST), this role will hold primary responsibility for the monitoring, challenge and oversight of Investment Governance matters. This is a key role leading the oversight of the Investment Governance Framework and associated policies, practices and outsourced Investment Management and investment consulting service provider(s).
What you will do
Assist the Office of Superannuation Trustee with its oversight and monitoring of services providers
Supporting Head of OST and OST Senior Managers across a range of investment governance, investment consulting and reporting matters
Review and challenge reporting received from service providers as well as assisting with APRA and other reporting as required
Assist in the review of trustee policies and procedures and the insurance claims processes
Stays abreast of industry and regulatory developments to bring insights relevant for Vanguard Super strategy and operations.
Plays a key role in the Vanguard Super OST team participating in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
Relevant undergraduate degree preferably coupled with post graduate qualifications in a related field. Relevant professional membership would be highly regarded
Demonstrated experience in superannuation governance, investment governance, investment consulting or related experience
Understanding of trustee governance policies and procedures
Demonstrated experience working with regulatory bodies, in particular APRA
Accomplished level of reporting and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to build strong relationships within Vanguard Super and Vanguard Investments business as well as external partnerships and associations
Specialisations that would make an impact:
Knowledge of, or experience in application of RSE licensee and trust law
Experience in insurance within superannuation would be highly regarded.
