The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join the team in this newly created role as Inventory Controller. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity across our systems, as well as managing technical processes and resolving system-related issues. You will work as part of the Supply Chain with a dotted reporting line and support from our IT function. This role is for a self-starter who is proactive, analytical and has a strong technical aptitude - this role is going to contribute to meaningful change within our business.
Key responsibilities include: Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of, and provide day-to-day support for Infor M3 (ERP), Cegid Y2 (POS), and integration platforms, resolving technical issues, troubleshooting incidents, and escalating to IT when necessary. Conduct regular audits, reconciliations, and spot checks to identify and resolve discrepancies Investigate root causes of inventory misalignments and system discrepancies, ensuring transparent communication and resolution for stakeholders. Drive the creation and implementation of new processes to enhance inventory control, building robust systems for accuracy and consistency Work closely with Supply Chain, IT, Merchandising, and Digital teams to align on inventory processes and technical escalations. Generate and analyse reports to track inventory accuracy, system performance, and key metrics, providing actionable insights for improvement. Monitor KPIs and communicate performance data to stakeholders for informed decision-making. Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on newly implemented processes, ensuring clear understanding and compliance. Maintain user guides, support documentation, and technical workflows for knowledge sharing and process consistency. 2-4 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or a similar technical support role, preferably within retail. Advanced proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other advanced functions. Strong technical understanding of ERP (Infor M3), POS (Cegid Y2), and integration platforms, including middleware and API management. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of conducting root cause analysis and delivering effective solutions. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience in managing relationships with IT, supply chain, and external vendors. Self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to take ownership and drive results independently. High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling, with a focus on process optimization and improvement. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
