Job Summary
Our client is currently working on Windows 11 and Intune project, which will see the Enterprise personal computing fleet uplifted from Windows 10 to Windows 11, as well as implement Intune for Application Management and position the organisation to transition from Air watch to Intune for Mobile Device Management.
The Intune specialist is a strategic and technical role, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the enterprise-wide Microsoft Intune environment. This position will lead the design of scalable, secure, and efficient application management solutions. The Intune Architect will work closely with other digital teams to align Intune architecture with business goals and the organization's existing digital infrastructure, ensuring that all endpoints are effectively managed and compliant with industry standards and organisational policies.
Key accountabilities:
Windows 11 Uplift Design & Strategy:
Lead the design and in place upgrade of Windows 11 through SCCM.
Develop a comprehensive MDM strategy that integrates with other enterprise IT systems, including Entrap ID, Microsoft SCCM, Windows Autopilot, and security platforms.
Contribute to policies and configurations for device compliance, data protection, and security across all managed devices.
Intune Administration:
Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device management, including policies, profiles, and compliance settings.
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
Manage device enrolment and ensure all devices are compliant with organizational policies.
Technical Leadership:
Provide expert guidance and mentorship to digital teams on Intune best practices and advanced configurations.
Serve as the primary technical lead for the Windows 11 and Intune project, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and meet business needs.
Lead the evaluation and selection of tools, technologies, and practices that enhance the Intune environment.
Security & Compliance:
Architect and implement advanced security features and policies within Intune to protect company data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with security teams to integrate Intune with broader enterprise security frameworks.
Design and implement audit and reporting mechanisms to monitor compliance and security posture.
Automation & Optimization:
Develop automation strategies to enhance the efficiency and reliability of Intune operations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Intune environment, driving continuous optimization efforts.
Lead efforts to integrate Intune with other automation platforms to streamline device lifecycle management.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership or architectural role.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Autopilot.
Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale Intune environments in enterprise settings.
Deep expertise in Microsoft Intune and related technologies.
Strong understanding of enterprise security principles, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Architect, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
