About the role We are seeking a highly detail-oriented professional with a solid background in Internal Audit to join our dedicated team in the Audit and Risk Branch. You will be expected to provide insightful recommendations to improve PTA's governance, performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit procedures and systems. You should have extensive experience in internal auditing, particularly within a complex or commercial environment, and a strong understanding of the legislative framework and standards related to financial governance and audits.
As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits across all divisions of PTA, assessing systems, processes, and management practices, and ensuring compliance with established frameworks and standards. You will support the Senior Internal Auditor in executing the audit plan in line with PTA's Internal Audit framework. You should be able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and produce high-quality reports that analyze complex issues and offer practical solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will need a relevant tertiary qualification that would satisfy admission for membership requirements including the Institute of Internal Auditors, CPA Australia as a CPA, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or the Institute of Public Accountants. Your highly developed analytical skills will allow you to work with high-level data to resolve organizational challenges.
About You! To excel in this role, you should possess:
Extensive experience in internal audit in a commercial and/or complex work environment. Considerable experience and knowledge of the legislative framework and standards relating to financial governance and audit.
