Insurance and Financial Compliance Officer (Fixed Term, 12 months)This is an exciting, fixed term (12 months) opportunity to support our team to ensure financial integrity in both the claims management process and the financial compliance function. There is a strong financial aspect to this role, and you will be required to draw on your experience to ensure financial integrity in both the claims management process and the financial compliance function.
The successful applicant will provide support to the Insurance and Financial Compliance team to deliver on a range of objectives during a period of increased activity and growth.
This is a front facing, customer service-based role requiring tact and diplomacy when dealing with members of the public, Insurance companies, the VMIA and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Under the direction of Manager, Financial Compliance and Insurance, the Insurance and Financial Compliance Officer will provide advice on claims management through the accurate interpretation and application of relevant State legislation and claims management procedures. This position will also undertake financial compliance duties, as required.
Training will be provided for those new to the claims management process.
What you will need to Succeed Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field are mandatory.Substantial relevant experience in end-to-end claims management and/or working within a finance team undertaking financial tasks and functions. Experience in claims management would be highly regarded although not mandatory.Adept in technology including Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.Serving the Community, valuing teamwork, having integrity, showing respect and being accountable are core values at Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV).
