Melbourne Government / Local Government Federal Government Initial 6 months contract with further extensions in place Hybrid work Arrangements and attractive and competitive daily rates Active Baseline Clearance is mandatory About the Role: As an experienced Project Manager you will be primarily responsible to manage IT infrastructure related projects.
You will work closely with technical delivery teams, Project Sponsor, Resource Manager and the Project Management Office, as well as relevant business stakeholders as well as on occasions this may involve working with third parties including solution providers.
You will bring extensive experience as a project manager in the delivery of complex IT projects, effectively demonstrating a solid track record in delivery of singular or multiple projects running simultaneously.
This position will be responsible for the delivery of key security strategic priorities such as: Migration of our client's Protected Network to a new platform.
Key Responsibilities: Manage IT projects in accordance with project management principles and methodology.
Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with stakeholders within and outside the organisation.
Ensure that all specific project products and services are delivered to expectations (scope), in a timely manner, within allocated budget, and with all risks managed.
Build and maintain motivated teams, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards Protect the team and make sure the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on what is most important Coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for their environment Proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints Prepare reports, briefs and project documentation as required to comply with Project Management framework and reporting requirements.
Manage risks, budgets and people effectively.
Required Skills/Experience: Highly developed and demonstrated skills and experience (+ 5 years) in project management.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders and manage large scale changes processes.
Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate projects, and deliver outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in; and understanding of the government procurement process/requirements, and management of vendors to achieve organisational goals.
Highly developed oral, written communication and presentation skills.
Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide and negotiate options, recommendations and solutions in a timely and constructive manner.
