About Our Client This West Australian-owned business operates statewide, partnering with numerous local businesses to provide quality produce to customers domestically and internationally.
Job Description The key responsibilities include:
Design and implement infrastructure solutions that adhere to enterprise and industry best practice architecture standards to support the systems and services used by the organisation. Build and present business cases to management to improve Cyber Security maturity and posture based on the NiST framework. Understand governance and how things are done. Organise and execute annual Cyber Security audits and penetration tests. Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure testing and handover of implemented solutions are conducted as per organisational standards, reducing risk and adverse impact of change. Manage conflicting and/or concurrent hardware upgrades, and/or refresh projects and programs. Ensure documentation of the existing network and improvements are maintained and available in an appropriate form for support staff. Ensure all firewalls and edge devices are configured, maintained, and updated to meet best practices. Work on production and staging environments, including monitoring and configuration management, disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement initiatives, and platform automation. Work closely with the project/development team on future projects and improvements to current systems. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a live production environment. Provide performance tuning recommendations. Script and develop software in one or more programming languages to automate processes. Enhance availability, performance, and stability of services and automate repetitive tasks. Investigate and pre-empt issues in cloud and local services. Mentor and guide junior helpdesk colleagues. The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of relevant experience in a senior role. Degree in IT / Computer Science or a TAFE Diploma. Proficiency in network protocols, security, and monitoring tools. Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto (Firewalls & Cortex), VMware, and Microsoft Server environments. Strong knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, with attention to detail, initiative, accountability, and a sense of ownership. Experience working in Hybrid Cloud / On-Prem environments (AWS & Azure). Advanced expertise in systems infrastructure, networking, monitoring, and support tools. Up-to-date knowledge of infrastructure technologies, security, and industry trends. Ability to work independently and deliver initiatives on time and within budget. Current Class C Driver's Licence.
