Job Description: ICT Support Officer The Frontline & Digital Division delivers ICT services to the Queensland Police Service, SES, the Inspector-General Emergency Management, and Marine Rescue Queensland.
Your role in supporting key frontline services involves a variety of responsibilities.The position is part of the Technology Support team within the IT Support directorate, which comprises over 150 employees and contractors across Queensland.
The IT Support teams include ICT Service Centre, Technology Support, End User Tools and Platforms, and Systems Support Teams.This role is based within the Technology Support Greater Brisbane South team, consisting of 6 employees, reporting to the Technology Support Manager of the region.Core Capability Requirements Provide technical support for assets such as desktops, laptops, printers, MFDs, mobile devices, servers, and network equipment.Monitor ITSM tool queues, action activities, escalate issues, and communicate with customers.Offer technical advice and specifications for project work, assisting in solutions design and implementation for statewide ICT projects.Develop technical documentation for end users and support colleagues.Coordinate with managers and IT teams to identify requirements and optimize information technologies.Assist in procurement of ICT equipment, providing high-quality advice and assistance.Role Requirements Highly Desirable: Minimum 4 years' experience in an enterprise-scale ICT services environment.Desirable Skills:Experience with the ITIL frameworkExperience with mobile device technologiesExperience with Windows Server (2008 and above)Experience with Windows 10 SOE and aboveExperience with ITSM tool management for IT Service DeliverySpecial Conditions Current open Queensland "C" class driver's licence required.May require intra- and inter-state travel.Participation in deployments, including a 24/7 roster during emergencies and major incidents.Manual tasks such as relocating computers and printers, following Workplace Health and Safety policies.On-call duties, overtime, and work outside normal hours may be necessary.SFIA Skills Relevant skills from the SFIA Framework at Level 3 include:ITOP - IT infrastructureHSIN - Systems installation and removalApplications should remain current for 12 months.Job Reference: QLD/635319/25Closing Date: Wednesday, 21st May 2025Occupational Group: IT & Telecommunications#J-18808-Ljbffr
