Information Systems Integrity and Security OfficerYour typical day as a Information Systems Integrity and Security Officer may include:Working with IT professionals to plan audits, identify and document information security risks, make recommendations for risk treatment strategies, and consult on implementation of treatments.Reviewing and developing information systems and security policies and practices to ensure QRO comply with relevant legislation and frameworks.Providing expert tactical and strategic advice to IT and business leaders to help them understand, mitigate, and respond to data and cyber security breaches.Preparation of concise briefing notes for executive-level consumption.Key accountabilities of the role are:Develop, review and implement information security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures aligned with Queensland Government information security requirements to support a culture of information security awareness and compliance.Perform risk assessments for QRO information systems and processes using the Treasury risk management framework.Collaborate with QRO management to develop and implement risk treatment action plans. Monitor completion of actions, evaluate treatment effectiveness and make recommendations for further improvements.To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:Experience applying information security and compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ASD Essential Eight, CIS and ISO/IEC 38500 in an organisation.The ability to analyse complex security issues and develop effective risk treatments.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.Effective negotiation of mutually beneficial outcomes.Joining QRO you will have opportunities for continued learning, growth and career development.
