Information Manager IT Telecomms Management Brisbane Permanent / Full Time 22/11/2018 Based in Brisbane Permanent role Iconic Inland Rail Project Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) plays a critical role in the transport supply chain and in the overall economic development of Australia. We manage and operate over 8500 kms. of track in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland, making us one of Australia's largest rail network owners. The Inland Rail Programme is a 1700km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The programme includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of: viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges. More information relating to the project can be found here: About the role The Information Managerwill oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of the Information Management Strategy for the Inland Rail Programme. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing innovative techniques for quality data collection to ensure the adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data. The role will manage the Information Management function including Document Control and Records Management, whilst maintaining strong links to the Configuration Management team. About you To be successful in this role, you will have proven high level experience in information management, preferably in a major project environment. You will also possess a strong understanding of modern data administration and management practices, coupled with an extensive knowledge of related hardware and systems architecture. The ideal candidate will have high level communication, influencing and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of engaging with vendors and stakeholders across multiple disciplines. Your skills and experience will be complimented by tertiary qualifications Business, Computer Science/Information Technology or a related discipline. You will also need to have a strong knowledge of Aconex, SharePoint, AvePoint and an understanding of ProjectWise.
