Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Information and Communication Electronic Technician to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia. It is a condition upon your application that candidates are Australian or US citizens to obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
THE ROLE As the Information and Communication Electronic Technician, technical knowledge will be requested to support the OASIS departments when needed. You will be responsible under minimal supervision to perform periodic maintenance tasks, complete trouble failures and job orders for a range of systems managed by the Information Technology Team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct preventative maintenance work on all electronic systems maintained by IT.Perform planning of equipment, tools and materials needed to complete tasks.Undertake initial fault-finding analysis and implement solutions.Maintain reliable operation of all aspects of the Security system.Maintain and repair site electronics e.g. CATV, DVD's and Projectors.Install and repair fibre optic networks associated with IT system infrastructure.Maintain electronic circuits and schematic diagrams.Perform tasks for project efforts as required.Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements.Any other reasonable duties as requested.QUALIFICATIONS Formal qualifications in Electronics or related disciplineACMA certification – CoaxialQualification in Terrestrial Digital TransmissionCertificate IIICertificate IVTrade QualificationDiplomaUndergraduate DegreePost Graduate QualificationsTICKETS AND LICENCES ACMA certificate with structured, fibre optic endorsementsWhite CardConfined SpaceWorking at HeightsDrivers LicenceElevated Work PlatformFirst AidElectrical Skills maintenanceOther position specific essential licenses and ticketHSR TrainingCPREXPERIENCE 1 to 2 yearsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 10 kg independentlySTATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS At least 18 years of age.Able to fluently read, write and speak EnglishAustralian or US citizenEHS REQUIREMENT All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements.
