About the opportunity
The Industry & Customer Application Manager oversees the operation and maintenance of applications essential for SA Power Networks' market operations and customer interactions.
This role manages Digital & Technology Operational Market functions and customer-facing applications, ensuring our connection to the market (MSATS) and our ability to serve as the sole distribution network provider in the state.
The manager is responsible for the core SAP systems: Industry Solution for Utilities (ISU), Cloud for Customer (C4C) & Market Process Management (MPM).
They handle technical interactions with the AEMO and represent us in industry working groups.
They also manage functions related to the National Market under the Application Managed Service (AMS) contract.
Key role objectives
Lead in setting roadmaps and strategies, aligning with Digital & Technology strategies, and foreseeing future business, product, and technical challenges for efficient innovation.
Oversee the AMS contract and SAP support contract, ensuring reliable system operation and timely processing of monthly bills and market transactions.
Manage talent acquisition and skill development within the team, aligning with technology roadmaps.
Oversee National Market and customer-facing application projects, ensuring timely delivery and policy adherence.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Represent SA Power Networks at external forums, provide strategic advice, and ensure consistent application of risk, quality, customer focus, and safety management frameworks.
Generate and present reports on system performance, project progress, and other relevant metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Information Technology and/or the equivalent skills and knowledge gained through experience.
Utilities experience, preferably in Network Distribution.
Extensive management experience at a senior level.
