Description & Requirements Part-time position working 25 hours per week Hours required are Monday to Friday 3:00am - 8:00am 6-month contract (at this stage) with potential to extend or become permanent depending on business requirements As our Mail Sorting Officer, you'll be working at our Pinkenba Delivery Centre where you'll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. You'll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day. You'll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you.
You'll be: Working efficiently individually or in a team to manually sort mail into logical street, number, and into an appropriate round Lifting and handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and dispatch large volumes of mail Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engaging and participating in your professional development About you: You are flexible with working additional hours if required You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail, and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory How we'll deliver for you: Post probationary base $ (after 3 months training rate) is $30.93ph plus additional 15% shift penalties and 12% superannuation We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment, and Safety Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic self to work every day We invest in your personal well-being, recognise and reward you for your contribution to our success with Post Perks and more We're delivering together: At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
