The company: Our client, a successful global $3BN+ revenue company in the hospitality industry, is seeking an Indirect Procurement Specialist for a 12 month contract (high likelihood of becoming permanent).
This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with broad indirect category experience to join an organisation seeking to uncover opportunities through better awareness of its indirect procurement spend across Australian operations.
By combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, the Indirect Procurement Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the procurement function, delivering value across the organization, and fostering robust supplier and stakeholder relationships.
The role involves managing various non-material procurement categories, fostering stakeholder relationships, and optimizing systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include: Responsible for acquiring required quotations, maintaining pricing system and procurement metrics including category spend analysis, PPV management and setting budget standard prices.
Analysis of RFP, RFO and tender responses received from the market.
Analyze company spending and assess business risks to identify and prioritize procurement initiatives.
Develop strategies to reduce costs and mitigate risks in areas such as property, linen, uniform, and equipment, to name a few.
Oversee non-material procurement categories, ensuring all supply arrangements are documented with appropriate contracts.
Lead the creation and evaluation of tender documents, ensuring thorough analysis and effective decision-making.
Create and refine a comprehensive procurement application process for non-material needs.
Maintain and enhance procurement templates, including supply contracts and tender documents.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies through tenders and negotiations with suppliers.
Promote ongoing process improvements and strengthen supplier relationships.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain buy-in for sourcing strategies and procurement initiatives.
What you will need: At least 3-5 years experience in a procurement role.
Indirect Procurement Experience.
Tertiary qualification in business management, supply chain management or a related discipline is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in developing a procurement function or improving existing procurement practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
