Join our Procurement team on a 12-month fixed term contract in Dandenong, as Indirect Buyer.
This position will be supporting construction projects providing efficient and secured tools for indirect procurement activities.
The Indirect Buyer has strong experience managing the supplier selection process, creating supplier contracts and managing contract execution.
With a solid knowledge of costing activities, this role supports the implementation of the commodities strategy at country level. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and launch Request for Quotation with suppliers.Support supplier panel relationship and lead project negotiation as per Australian Standards.Support Indirect commodity strategy and panel elaboration as well as consolidate the commodity needs and inputs.Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances).Manage all contract variations and claims with the suppliers.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Strong experience defining indirect procurement strategy and supporting make-or-buy decisions.Demonstrated experience leading negotiations and stakeholder engagement.Previous experience as Estimator, Costing Officer or Sourcing Specialist within Residential Building, Commercial building or other Construction industries.Knowledge of cost structures, costing activities during pre-tendering phase, target price and gap analysis.Applications are now open until 29 November 2024 with shortlisting to commence upon application.
