The Disability Employment Services, In Work Support Mentor (IWS) plays a critical role in ensuring post placement support is effectively delivered to participants and employers in an efficient, timely manner and to a high-quality standard as per the Asuria service delivery model. The IWS will be working across Sydney Metro locations including Inner Sydney, Inner West and North Sydney Locations.
ResponsibilitiesProactively build and maintain effective relationships with Disability Employment Services participants and employers, this will involve face to face, phone and on the job support.Identify any barriers that may impact upon ongoing employment and address them promptly.Maximising participants retention in ongoing sustainable employment.Ensure minimum contact requirements for participants are adhered to and contact adjusted as needed to ensure outcomes are met.Complete a risk assessment of each placement that identifies the contact regime required during first six months of placement, reviewing regime at each contact.Implement strategies to ensure placement continuity when required.Actively engage with employers to identify their needs in order to market appropriate participants.Develop and maintain relationships with participants, employers, Recruitment Consultants, and Job Coaches to achieve successful employment outcomes.Apply active listening and questioning techniques to identify goals, strengths and obstacles to enable continued employment.Identify in advance issues relating to payment rates or hours worked that may impact on the future achievement of employment outcomes.Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for the position, you will need to have:
