With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, Americold plays a vital role in the global supply chain, ensuring safe and efficient storage and transport of perishable goods. Their operations span the globe, supporting a diverse range of industries, including food production, retail, and logistics. As a critical legal advisor within their APAC division, you'll contribute to Americold's mission by providing essential legal guidance to support their growth and operational goals across Australia and New Zealand.
The Role: Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel Global and Managing Director APAC, this role is critical to advising senior leadership on legal matters essential to the business. You will draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, offer legal guidance on commercial finance and business development initiatives, and manage real estate, construction, and intellectual property matters. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and reviewing a variety of high-stakes legal documents, including service contracts, IT agreements, real estate instruments, and MOUs;Supporting the Commercial Finance and Business Development teams with legal advice on new business contracting, service agreements, and dispute resolution;Providing counsel on corporate governance, property development, zoning, land use, and regulatory issues for APAC leadership;Managing intellectual property concerns, including trademarks and compliance;Overseeing third-party counsel and ensuring cost-effective external legal support; andProviding Company Secretarial support and serving as a Company Director as required.About You: The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal professional with 8–15 years of experience, preferably with a combination of in-house and law firm expertise. You hold a current practising certificate in Australia, with proven experience in corporate law, commercial transactions, and real estate.
