We operate in over 200 locations across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia with a workforce of more than 10,000 employees.Our purpose is to help our customers, communities, industries and people to Thrive through a relentless focus on our five priorities – Safety, Wellbeing, Planet, Opportunity and Performance.About the roleRole Location: West Melbourne VIC with onsite parkingRole Type: Full TimeResponsibilitiesAssisting with all documentation relating to Import Freight OperationsRegistering import shipments via Expedient software systemPreparing paperwork for shipment, as requiredLiaise with import clients on all aspects relating to their cargo including forwarding shipments and obtaining release numbers from shipping companies for the collection of empty containersLiaise with relevant terminals and depots upon cargo delivery regarding the unloading, packing and importing of cargo on behalf of customers as/when required.Assist in preparing import documentation to facilitate the packing of containersReceive and resolve general freight forwarder inquiries, seeking assistance where applicableAssist in preparing import & export documentation to facilitate the packing of containersLiaise with the transport department and forward relevant documentation to arrange for packed container to be delivered to the designated wharf for import.Generate final manifest for import unpacks and liaise with clients accordinglyAssist with the entry of data into internal Maximas systems relating to container arrival and releasesAd hoc duties as required by your ManagerDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal and written skillsGood organisational skillsAbility to implement and deliver within a fast-paced teamComputer literate to intermediate level with ability to quickly learn new systemsWork collaboratively and harmoniously as a part of a teamAbility to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolutionFlexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environmentMust be fit for work with a good level of fitness and general healthQualifications and Experience2 years experienceBasic knowledge of freight forwarding and supply chain requiredBenefitsUp to 50% off gyms, studios, active wear, healthy meals, supplements, recovery and more through the Qube Fit program.Discounted health insuranceSpecial paid leave to participate in volunteering activitiesUnlimited access to employee assistance program delivered through BenestarGenerous paid parental leave for eligible employeesQube recognises the value of an inclusive and diverse work environment.
