Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) is a process for developing material and a support strategy that optimises functional support, leverages existing resources, guides the system engineering process elements of ILS activities consists with Training and Training Support with the aim of improving operator & maintainer capability, capacity, productivity and performance. The ILS Training Instructor will support the development of training requirements through a Performance Needs / Training Needs Analyses, support and update training material, liaise with ILS Training Specialists, subcontractors, RAN project stakeholders and trainees. The ILS Training Instructor will support ILS Training Specialists in the preparations, closing activities for training courses and deliver ACOPV training as scheduled. Responsibilities Undertake and support the design, development and delivery of training activities in area of expertise, determining training requirements via a Performance Needs Analyses/Training Needs Analysis.Liaise with ILS Training Specialists, subcontractors, RAN project stakeholders and trainees. Monitor and update training materials to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date. Provide input into technical configuration changes and impact assessments. Deliver training in classroom, practical and simulated environments. Competency assessments of trainees. Support and conduct preparation and closing activities related to delivering training. Deliver ACOPV training as scheduled. Update and maintain own knowledge and skills currency. Requirements Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE I40116) or higher qualification in a relevant field e.g. Adult Education.\ Certificate III Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or higher qualification in a relevant technical or engineering field. Demonstrated experience of naval vessels' electrical and or mechanical systems i.e. Diesel Engines, Generators, Fuel, and Auxiliary Systems. Demonstrated experience as a Naval Electrical/Mechanical Operator or Naval Electrical/Mechanical Maintainer. Minimum 4 years experience within the Royal Australian Navy. Demonstrated experience as a Naval Electrical/Mechanical Operator or Naval Electrical/Mechanical Maintainer. Demonstrated experience delivering quality training and assessment with modern training delivery methods. An understanding of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning would be an advantage.
