Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Identity and Access Specialist to join the organisation. In this role you will administer digital identity and access services to ensure availability and performance, ensuring a positive user experience in onboarding, single sign on and role-based access. This role is suited to someone with 5 to 10 years' experience who is looking for a role in a Project and BAU based role.
Role Title: Identity and Access Specialist Duration: 6 month initial contract Daily Rate: $800 - $950 + Super Location: Parramatta, 2150 (3 days in office per week)/ WFH Hybrid.
Key Accountabilities:

Ensure availability of identity and access services along with monitoring and associated log integration.
Autonomously balance priorities for security, BAU support and project work.
Provide response to security-related incidents and alerts.
Multi-task to meet project deadlines and BAU service level agreements
Negotiate work priorities and scheduling with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with other Digital and Business teams to ensure the best outcome for our customers.
Assist in security incident triage, root cause investigation and subsequent continuous improvement.
Provide performance metrics and dashboards for identity and access services.
Ensure adherence to organisational policy, process and frameworks.
Ensure risks and issues are identified and reported on a continual basis to the functional lead, ensuring customer focused delivery.

Key Challenges of the role:

Managing a heavy workload with tight deadlines, competing commitments and priorities which require negotiating and continual re-prioritising of own work.
Understanding the balance required of business as usual obligations and enablement/deployment of planned project work.
Ensuring cyber security is maintained for the organisations data and services whilst not unnecessarily inhibiting end user experience.

About You & Technical Proficiency:

Active Directory expert - Mandatory
Azure Active Directory (Entra) and ADFS - Mandatory
Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) - Mandatory
Multifactor authentication (MFA) - Mandatory
Single-Sign On (SSO) and SAML - Mandatory
PKI (Certificate Management) - Optional
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science and/or equivalent industry experience.
Technical expertise in operating and maintaining digital identity and access services.
Demonstrated experience and sound ability to operate and implement identity and access technologies across several geographical locations.
Excellent communication skills, flexibility, team focus and dedication to customer service.
Ability to communicate complex technical problems effectively in a clear and concise way in language and concepts customers can understand.
Ability to problem solve difficult issues to arrive at a technical solution that meets the business needs.
Demonstrated ability to deliver, implement and operate new technology solutions.

Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area (NSW) and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
