Initial 12-month contract with possible extension. Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week. Our client, a large complex Queensland Government organisation, is currently seeking a Training Lead for their Service Modernisation Program.

The role The Information and Digital Services business unit is leading a Service Modernisation Program (SMP) which will deliver a comprehensive program of work which will:

Improve the way vulnerable Queenslanders interact with our frontline services. Provide a single source of truth for data. Provide us with the agility to respond to the changing needs of Queenslanders through reducing the complexity of our ICT ecosystem. The Training Lead will report directly to the Program Director - Change & Engagement and will be responsible for the delivery of the SMP Training Strategy, initiative Training Plans, Training Needs Analysis, training, and logistics.

What you will be doing: Develop, influence, and manage relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, identifying cross-government synergies and opportunities for collaboration in delivery of training outcomes. Define the Training Strategy for the program to establish a standardized mechanism for training all initiative cohorts. Lead, manage, and execute training plans across the service modernisation program and transformation projects, in order to embed change across internal staff and external public-facing customer cohorts. Conduct training needs assessments across multiple cross-functional areas, collaborating with all levels and analyzing training requirements. Determine gaps in knowledge and prioritize training needs in alignment with program objectives. Adapt training approaches to cater for diverse learning styles and program changes. Continuously seek to improve training programs and delivery methods. Liaise with external vendors and internal team members and leaders to ensure effective training is facilitated and prioritized. Manage the scheduling and logistics for training across the program and its transformation projects. Develop assessment criteria and mechanisms to support the effectiveness of each learning session and mechanisms for continuous improvement. Document training reports or deep dive training presentations for the Executive. To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: Demonstrate the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire team members to support training outcomes. Apply strategic thinking to the development of training strategies and make informed decisions. Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, whilst actively listening and being engaging. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills for needs analysis, data analysis, and tackling training challenges and efficiencies. Experience in developing comprehensive training programs tailored to diverse audience groups and learning styles. Display facilitation skills to engage audiences (both virtual and in person). Demonstrate technical proficiency in learning management tools to manage and track training. Be adaptable, innovative, and collaborative to establish best practice training outcomes for our customers. Demonstrate a visionary approach to training strategic planning and align with the departmental strategies. Be culturally sensitive and inclusive to ensure all of our customers are valued and supported in the learning journey. Show a passion for learning and development by seeking continuous improvement and being curious. Mandatory requirements: 3-5 years experience as a Training Manager or Lead in digital transformation programs. This daily rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
