Simon Howie Foods is a multi-award winning business based in Dunning near Perth. We are looking for an experienced, Hygiene and Cleaning Manager who will supervise, co-ordinate and importantly, work hands-on with the team to deliver all hygiene and cleaning activities within the production and communal staff areas of our factory. The role includes, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling some key machinery therefore you must be familiar and comfortable working with some bespoke hand tools in a mechanised environment - full training will be provided. You must plan and organise the relevant cleaning activities and staffing levels to ensure that our hygiene requirements are always achieved. Key responsibilities: Maintain work instructions and cleaning schedules. Ensure all paperwork correctly filled in and signed-off Ensure compliance with H&S working practices. Ensure any problems/issues are escalated appropriately. Ensure appropriate resources are in place, as required Effective communication is essential - the team is currently around 8-12 people (not all speak English well - some support is available within) Ensure all staff are trained to agreed work instructions Ideal candidate: Similar role or work experience in a factory and/or industrial environment Awareness of food safety requirements in a large-scale operation Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to give instructions and ensure they are completed Comfortable working as part of a multi-national team Good physical dexterity as role involves, standing, lifting, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, etc. To apply for this post, click on the apply button follow the instructions.
