The Riverina Co-Op is a member-owned Co-Operative, operating in the Riverina since 1961. We have a casual vacancy for an experienced, energetic and customer-driven Team Leader for our Hunting and Outdoor Living department. If you think that this role may be for you – keep on reading!We are looking for a team member that has proven history in retail with purchasing and inventory management experience. It is vital that you are able to provide technical support, advice & problem solving for our predominately rural based clients.Reporting to the Retail Manager, our Hunting & Outdoor Living role includes varying duties including:Inventory maintenance including ordering, merchandising and the replenishment of stock, whilst maintaining positive vendor relationships.Adhering to our rolling stock take schedule and investigating all stock discrepancies.Working as part of a team and participating in open and honest communication with the view to improve business efficiencies.Welcoming our Co-operative Members and Customers with a warm smile and positive attitude.Ensuring a high level of customer experience is maintained consistently and delivered at every possible opportunity.Keeping our retail floor space clean and safe.Operation of POS and sales systems to process sales and raise purchase orders.Managing incoming phone calls efficiently and effectively, along with basic goods inwards and outwards paper handling.Hands-on skills are required as the job involves assembly of items for sale and heavy lifting at times.Willingness to help across all parts of The Co-op when required.The successful applicant should also possess:A keen interest in Hunting products including scopes & thermal technology.Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are open and honest.Keen sense of initiative and eye for detail.Ability to adapt to changing situations and work in a fast-paced retail environment.Commitment to customer experience including following up and problem-solving skills.Speed, flexibility and agility to adapt to ever-changing customer expectations.Aptitude for understanding processes and systems.Strong sense of personal discipline and ability to work individually when required.This position is a casual role (30-38 hours p/w), including Saturday mornings on a rotational basis.
