HR Team Leader Full time permanent, hybrid working, flexibility and fantastic benefits About Our Client The organisation is a large public sector entity that plays a crucial role in the functioning and development of the local area in Sydney.
With several hundred employees, the organisation is committed to the welfare of its staff and the community it serves.
Job Description Lead and develop the capability and performance of the HR team (3-4 direct reports) Actively participate in the leadership of the department and organisation.
Provide leadership and support to HR staff, ensuring business delivery, leave management, training, and performance reviews.
Identify and action coaching and mentoring opportunities.
Ensure HR functions are efficient, accurate, and legally compliant, with up-to-date policies.
Offer expert advice on complex employee relations and industrial relations matters.
Support and conduct performance management and manage grievances and disputes.
Assist with agreement preparation, negotiations, and industrial matters.
Oversee HR projects including rewards, recognition, workforce planning, change management, recruitment, onboarding, and employee wellbeing.
Oversee learning and development programs, ensuring alignment with organisational needs.
Act as a business partner, engaging with managers and staff to foster a positive workplace culture.
Proactively manage budget and resources, identifying and addressing potential risks.
Contribute to continuous improvement of services and business processes.
The Successful Applicant A successful HR Team Leader should have: A degree in Human Resources or related field Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist Knowledge of HR systems and databases Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills Team management experience is preferred What's on Offer $130,000 to $140,000 + super + $8,500 vehicle allowance or lease back.
