Classification: ANU Officer Grade 6/7 (Administration)Salary package: $80,756 - $92,957 per annum plus superannuationTerms: Full time, Fixed term (until 28 February 2020)Position overviewThe Human Resources Consultant works within the Human Resources team managing a client portfolio on all operational aspects of employment life cycle whilst ensuring compliance with the University's Enterprise Agreement and associated policies, procedures and current legislation. The position will contribute to new initiatives and the development of best practise and streamlining of processes within the HR function at the University. The position is also responsible for the coordinating reports and analysis for senior staff members within the portfolio.The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to developing a career in HR and an understanding of what a role in HR entails. We are looking for a team player with strong communication skills and effective relationship management, along with the ability to negotiate, and influence with senior stakeholders and ability to mentor more junior staff. Highly developed organisational skills, effective time management and excellent attention to detail are all essential attributes for this position. The Human Resources Team is located within the Joint Colleges of Science; Health and Medicine (SHM) Administration.The SHM Administration team delivers high quality administrative support and leadership to the core academic activities of research and education for the ANU Colleges of Science; Health and Medicine, the most research intensive unit of the Australian National University.
