Your new role
In this newly created position, you will work closely with our People & Culture Team and Business Managers to provide support, guidance, and professional advice across a broad range of HR-related matters including:
Performance management
Policy & procedures
Industrial relations
Learning & development
Investigations
Recruitment to meet the organisation's goals and strategic business objectives
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing expert advice, coaching, and support to managers and employees
Conducting and providing oversight to investigations and resolving complex employee relations issues
Assisting in the development and implementation of learning strategies and programs
Ensuring qualification, licensing, and training compliance is maintained
Monitoring and reporting on workforce and succession planning
Providing support for talent acquisition, development and retention
Administrative duties relating to HR responsibilities
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualified in HR or a similarly related discipline.
At least 3 years of solid experience in an HR specialist or generalist role(s) providing HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Results-focused and able to balance competing priorities, as well as exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic and collaborative approach to relationship development.
Strong, confident communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Full understanding of IR legislation, HR functions, and best practices.
Ideally, you will have some experience in the disability or not-for-profit sector; however, this is not essential.
