With a well-resourced and contemporary HSW function, we are well on our way to realising our vision of ensuring consistent HSW programs and behaviours are embedded across our national sites.About the role:This position has overall accountability for BAU operational delivery of the HSW Strategy and HSW Management System across QLD/NT/WA. The sites include 7 sites located in Brisbane and Gold Coast, 1 x Perth and 1 x Darwin.The role leads a team of HSW professionals and partners with the State Leadership Team to deliver a leader-led approach to health, safety and wellbeing.Key responsibilities:Leading, coaching and empowering a team of direct reports - ensuring the effectiveness of their delivery of consistent services.Establishing and maintaining relationships with the operational teams to position your team as trusted advisors and an integral part of the operational team.Coaching and inspiring the State Leadership Team to embed HSW processes and programs and drive a culture of critical control management owned by leaders.Inputting into HSW plans to achieve the objectives of the HSW Strategy and HSW Management System.Developing a proactive safety culture across the State through promotion of "what good looks like," sharing bright spots; and holding the State Leadership Team accountable to drive continuous improvement.Leading complex risk assessments and Serious Safety Incident investigations - managing enquiries and overseeing regulator inspections as required.Displaying and promoting HSW practices through active field-based leadership and engagement.Developing and supporting the preparation of state and site HSW reports and performance monitoring.Leading and contributing to the State Leadership Team and National Safety and Wellbeing forums, networks, and advisory committees to drive HSW improvements.Why Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
