The ideal candidate will possess a minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing, mining or transport environment, someone that is able to embrace a safety culture built on trust, engineering developments and years of product development. Key Responsibilities:
Implementing standards and processes in line with company requirements and International Standards
Monitoring all OHS activity and improve HSEQ Management System
Oversee the implementation of oc company Safe Work Methods, procedures and practices
Ensuring all workshop procedures are inline with current legislation and safety
Complete Internals safety audits and inspections including the ability to introduce new safety standards across all company sites/workshops
Drive the safety culture while improving systems to benefit the company and all employees
Ensure product compliances in Australian Design Rules and VSB6
Key Requirements:
Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/mining/transport industry minimum +5 years
A trade related background will be looked upon favourably
Tertiary Qualification in Work Health and Safety
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
Working knowledge of safety management systems and total commitment to meeting stakeholder needs
Good time management skills and the ability to multitask while prioritising deadlines
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
A team player and ability to relate well to the current team
