With projects in advance planning or commencing construction, we are seeking an experienced HSE Lead, experienced in Construction.
The HSE Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance of ATCO's construction activities for the successful delivery of power stations and power generation projects for the Projects Delivery function. This role will lead the implementation of HSE policies and procedures on-site, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves collaboration with site management, interface with contractors, and workers to ensure that safety is embedded in all construction activities. The role will require regular travel to regional South Australia.
What Does Success Look Like Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site, in accordance with Australian standards and ATCO's internal policies.Conduct regular risk assessments and develop control measures to minimize HSE risks associated with construction activities.Perform routine site inspections, audits, and hazard identification to ensure all safety protocols are followed.Lead the investigation of all HSE-related incidents on-site, ensuring accurate reporting and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Develop and deliver training & induction programs to raise HSE awareness among site personnel and ensure they are equipped to work safely.Work closely with contractors to ensure that HSE requirements are understood and enforced throughout the construction phase.
