About the Role Are you a seasoned professional with a knack for organization and a positive, open mindset? We are looking for a mature Office Administrator to join our dynamic team.
If you bring strong mathematical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, we want to hear from you! Due to strong and sustained business growth with a team of over 350, we currently have an opportunity for a full-time HR Administrator/Payroll Relief to provide administrative support and assist in other HRD activities.
The business is focused on working toward HR Best Practice to support our expansion, with people and culture being pivotal to this.
You will principally provide high level support across HR functions, but also work with Payroll when necessary, in this highly confidential role where attention to detail and pride in a job well done is paramount.
Responsibilities Reporting to the HRD Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to; Providing administrative/coordination, and at times Leave, support across HRD and Payroll.
Assisting in recruitment activities such as coordinating advertising, reviewing candidates, background checks, scheduling /conducting testing and interviews, preparing employment documentation and facilitating onboarding Providing support to supervisors and managers in HR related matters Generalist administration relating to personnel file management, performance reviews and correspondence Dealing with sensitive and confidential information Maintaining employee (including our PALM Staff) and contractor records Assisting with ad hoc activities and projects Occasional driving to Melbourne to support our facility there Administrative Support: Manage office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and filing.
Coordination: Assist with project management, meeting coordination, and maintaining office supplies Skills & Experience We're looking for an energetic, assured, and confidential individual who is highly motivated to continue their career as a HR Administrator/Payroll Relief employee.

To really make your mark you will possess the following skills & attributes: Experience: Proven experience in office administration or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of office procedures.
Mathematical Skills: Competency in basic financial calculations, budgeting, and data analysis.
Mindset: Open-minded, adaptable, and able to embrace new ideas and technologies.
Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and common office software.
Attributes: Mature demeanour with a professional approach, excellent organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve administrative issues with a creative and open-minded approach.
Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Sound understanding of Australian workplace law Previous experience within a similar role Exposure/experience in Payroll – two years experience preferred The ability to manage a varied portfolio of work and deadlines in any given week A tertiary qualification in HR or another HR related discipline will be well regarded Ability to apply HR knowledge in practice using HR policies, processes and functions Capacity to connect with and influence people from all walks of life and a variety of cultures Great written and verbal communication skills Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously High attention to detail Current Driver's Licence Why Join Us?
