THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting and working closely with the Executive General Manager - People & Culture (P&C), the primary purpose of this role is to perform the day to day execution of all HR functions and P&C strategies. This is key operational role is critical to ensure the P&C team provide the highest quality human resources support across the business nationally.
Some key accountabilities/projects of this role include but not limited to:
Implement and execute P&C initiatives and activities aligned with the overall business strategy.
Identify and manage key risks and implement people and performance policies and procedures accordingly to ensure that business targets are achieved.
Partner with key stakeholders to provide industrial and employee relations interpretation/application.
Provide advice and guidance to Managers in relation to people management issues and procedures including complex and sensitive matters, whilst ensuring that compliance and legal obligations are met.
Workforce planning and Award modelling.
Process improvement across all HR disciplines.
Creation of Board reports.
Manage remuneration and benefits to ensure alignment with business objectives and market best practice.
This is afull-time, permanentopportunity based at the Simonds Group Head Office onSt Kilda Road.
WHO YOU ARE
We are seeking someone who has:
Significant, current experience (ideally +7 years) and a proven track record in a generalist Human Resources management position.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced industry.
Strategy focused but will also 'roll up their sleeves' and deliver on the day to day tasks.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or equivalent industry experience.
Employee Relations experience, including a strong understanding of Industrial Relations frameworks.
Ability to proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies that consider legal and commercial factors.
Professional communication, negotiation and consultation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, resilience, and work ethic.
A valid drivers licence.
Please note that some travel both regionally and interstate is required to successfully perform this role.
