Reporting to the HRSC Manager Advisory Services the HR/ER Advisor is responsible for the provision of first-level human resource/employee relations advice and case management to the business and human resources team and for assisting in building basic employee relations knowledge and capability amongst the users of the HR Service Centre.
As a first-level point of contact, provide specialist advice on a range of human resources/ employee relations matters to line, senior and human resources managers. Provide expert case management for complex employee relations matters such as performance counselling, investigations, managing ill and injured employees, terminations and escalate matters as necessary.
The person we are looking for will have:
Key Experiences & Skills
Qualification in industrial relations, human resources, law or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in managing employee and industrial relations issues.
Demonstrated understanding of employment legislation and ability to interpret industrial instruments.
Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and an ability to persuade and influence.
Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.
An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
