HR Delivery Lead, Australasia190004QIThis role reports to the Head of Asia Pacific HR Delivery - Brokerage & Consulting and collaborates with Global HR Operations, HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and Talent Advisory to deliver enterprise and business programs in Australasia (Australia and New Zealand).
Lead a team for Australasia to create ‘one HR’ service to the business, comprised of recruitment, employee lifecycle administration and HR generalist function. Build a cross-business culture, using flexibility within the teams to support business Segments and Corporate Functions. Direct the provision of services by the HR team to ensure a positive and constructive colleague and manager experience.
Assure compliance with Australasian laws and regulations for business as usual and for integration/ harmonization subsequent to any merger/acquisition. Handle employee relations individual cases as and when it is necessary for direct report to escalate to jobholder for advice and/or risk management.
Lead Australasian HR colleagues to embed the HR operating model and a strong performance culture.
Build a cross-business culture in HR, using flexibility within and across the teams. Ensure HR teams are provided with access to tools, training and information to enable excellent service execution and their own personal development.
Take direction from, and partner with, the Head of Asia Pacific HR Delivery - Brokerage & Consulting to establish the requirements of Talent Advisory for the execution of HR services in the jurisdiction
Coach business leaders at country level in the region to undertake their responsibilities as described in the HR Service Catalogue. Direct the provision of coaching and guidance provided by HR colleagues to managers on the implementation of global human resource processes such as performance management and compensation planning.
Support the implementation of inclusion and diversity strategy and initiatives for Australasia; initiated for Willis Towers Watson globally and by the business locally
Utilise global HR technology, global processes and the tiered HR support model to lead the HR delivery team to achieve an integrated ‘one HR’ organization, focused on colleague and manager experience of HR services. Implement the HR service catalogue to manage the scope of services delivered within constraints of budget and headcount, in conjunction with Global HR Operations and the COEs.
Work in collaboration with Legal Team, ensuring proper Employee Relationship management, adherence to jurisdictional requirements and company policy, and work with responsible company leaders to make informed decisions.
Oversee and ensure that HR delivery complies with all company employment practices and applicable country/jurisdiction laws and regulations; for business as usual and for integration/harmonization subsequent to any merger/acquisition/transfer of undertaking. Review proposals for change made by/via country HR delivery lead, in conjunction with the relevant COE or global process owner. Ensure that inclusion and diversity is promoted and underpins all HR service delivery.
Oversee and assure talent acquisition services to utilize global recruiting processes and technologies, supporting the Recruitment Lead to fulfill demand and sevice levels. Take input from Talent Advisors to gather talent pipeline requirements; and collaborate with Global Recruitment Operations to develop strategies that build talent pools to facilitate rapid, effective hiring.
Monitor the execution of services provided by Global HR Operations, COEs and third parties including but not limited to global mobility, compensation and benefit programs, management capability programs, and colleague life-cycle query handling/escalation. Give support to COEs to implement HR services, identifying and handling exceptions specific to Australasia, and providing input to initiatives/process that includes the communication and engagement requirements. Ensure that benefit programs are administered and maintained in accordance with the company benefits governance processes.
Monitor performance against globally-defined targets for timeliness, quality, cost, and team engagement. Identify need for corrective actions and opportunities for continuous improvement. Assure consistent application and execution of operational excellence methods.
Collaborate with Global HR Operations (Solutions and Systems, Service Management, Global Recruitment Operations, Program Management Office and Global Services) to identify and implement projects of global or regional scope that will improve service timeliness and quality and/or reduce operating costs.
Proactively identify opportunities for collaboration and alignment with other Corporate Functions to ensure a more seamless colleague experience, proposing these to the Region HR Lead for consideration within the global HR model.
Experience of leading a team in Human Resources with responsibility for Australia and New Zealand e.g., responsibility for proactive identification of requirements and resolution of issues across borders.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional HR teams.
Demonstrated ability to achieve the effective delivery of HR services through disciplined execution and through fact-based decisions in a growing/changing business environment.
Manage with a collaborative approach, strong influencing skills, comfort with ambiguity and flexibility (given the changes to the HR operating model) and a strong work ethic. In-depth knowledge of human resources policy and practice, and ability to quickly understand jurisdictional regulations/legislation. Proactive in identifying opportunities to educate business leaders/managers/colleagues on evolving processes. Ability to travel domestically and internationally .
