Hr Business (Parental Leave Contract)

About This Role As a HR Business Partner, you will be an active member of the HR Team, with your primary responsibility being to engage and work collaboratively with members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and their departments, providing well-rounded, pragmatic HR solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor and be the 'go-to' person for HR queries.
You will also support other members of the HR team with employment-related queries and/or people-focused projects with the purpose of continuously improving the employee experience.
Please note this role will be a Fixed Term Role (Maternity Leave Cover), ending early November 2025 and will be based at our Head Office in Homebush, NSW. The role we are offering you Collaborate with and support key departments, including Engineering, Finance, PMO, Business Development, Legal, and other D&S entities outside of Australia, such as New Zealand and Brunei.Provide support to other business entities, such as our Civil Aviation business, as appropriate.Work closely with the Head of HR and ELT on people-related matters.Improve employee experience in process, policies, and people-focused initiatives.Our ideal candidate has: Demonstrated understanding and experience in the interpretation of employment legislation in Australia and New Zealand.Proven experience across all aspects of HR.Strong Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, skills.Experience ideally within a regional and/or global organisation.What CAE offers you: Opportunity to make a positive impact on Australian defence and security.Exciting career paths in a truly global business.Global flexible leave policy.Access to a generous ADF Reserve Service Policy.Security requirements As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
