Applicants must be confident, capable and practically minded in their approach to advising. Our client base demands pragmatic support and clear, jargon-free advice and guidance together with hands-on administration of HR processes at times. You will need outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written, and be able to quickly and effectively source and filter relevant information from the irrelevant, to provide solutions that fit the unique needs of each client.
Role Responsibilities:
With support and in collaboration with the broader team, your responsibilities would include:
Providing guidance and support to business owners and managers across the whole HR spectrum.
Development, review and implementation of various people policies, procedures and processes.
Audits of HR policies and processes, pay rates and entitlements, and reporting on recommendations to achieve compliance.
Provide support for line managers and staff seeking guidance in line with client policies.
Conduct interviews and sit in on interviews with line managers and supervisors providing coaching, mentoring and feedback.
Create and maintain current position descriptions for a variety of roles.
Supporting the full range of recruitment activities from recruitment needs assessment through to issuing contracts.
Manage and conduct on-boarding processes and induction programs.
Manage probation periods including conducting reviews independently or together with line managers.
Own and operate performance management in terms of KPI setting and review.
Manage under-performance and disciplinary matters.
Assist with employee development and talent management.
Assist the clients with the delivery of training and learning programs.
Identify skill gaps, plan and deliver against learning needs and business priorities.
Coordinate employment terminations and resignation processes and documentation.
Support employers through termination processes including documentation, exit interviews, and reporting trends and feedback to clients as appropriate.

About you:
Youmust be capableof dealing with strong personalities who demand that you cut to the chase, keep it simple and know how to drive outcomes without the waffle or complexity.
It is essential that you have a strong ability to adapt your communication style and build client rapport.
Substantial HR/ER experience, preferably as a HR Advisor with a varied background in different industries.
Hands-on SME experience very desirable.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, impeccable grammar and spelling are critical.
Significant experience interpreting and complying with Awards, the Fair Work Act and other employment-related legislation.
At least 3-5 years HR generalist experience within the private sector
Confident in Injury management, DAS, and IR
You have an established home office that allows you to conduct client communication uninterrupted.

Understanding and desire to provide value to the client, with an ability to see gaps as opportunities to support them in their HR space, and actively retain and develop the account.
The ability to multi-task and liaise effectively and professionally with all internal stakeholders and external organisations.
Strong role analysis and behavioural interviewing skills, as well as being able to source for cultural fit in a variety of environments.
Confidence in providing sound advice through your extensive understanding of current employment legislation & the FWA
A willingness to engage in difficult conversations and act professionally and assertively to manage conflict through to resolution, and influence positive outcomes for the client.
Experience in developing, reviewing and implementing the whole range of human resources related policies, practices and procedures.
