We are committed to cultivating an equal, diverse, and inclusive environment for our staff, residents, and stakeholders.Job DescriptionThe OpportunityJoin our dynamic Housing Services Team as a Housing Officer, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering specialist expertise and high-quality housing management services to our residents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide professional, responsive, and customer-focused support, ensuring residents are well-informed of their rights and responsibilities. You will excel in managing tenancy agreements, resolving resident concerns, enforcing rental policies, and fostering a positive community environment. By collaborating with internal teams and external agencies, you'll contribute to sustaining tenancies and enhancing the overall resident experience, all while aligning with Housing Choices South Australia's values and objectives.What you'll doProvide timely, accurate, and clear communication with residents to address concerns and queries.Manage tenancy agreements, including rent collection, income reviews, and tenancy inspections.Resolve resident complaints proactively and enforce rental policies as needed.Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to support and sustain social housing tenancies.Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team environment.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll bring:You will bring a deep understanding of tenancy legislation, strong experience in housing management, and exceptional communication skills to effectively manage and support our diverse resident community.Relevant qualification in Social Housing, Community Services, or equivalent experience.Experience managing a sizeable portfolio of tenancies and handling complex housing management issues.Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to manage challenging customer/client interactions.Experience in navigating complex and challenging housing management issues, including eviction processes and court proceedings (desirable).Highly developed communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.What we offer in return5 Weeks Annual LeaveFlexible working arrangementsSalary Packaging for living expenses, meal, and entertainment expensesRecognition programSalary Continuance Insurance16 weeks paid parental leavePlease note that it is a minimum requirement of this position that all appointments are made subject to a satisfactory National Criminal History or Police Check conducted by Housing Choices Australia and the successful post holder to:Agree and undergo any other employment screening as required by Housing Choices - including but not restricted to Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons and NDIS Worker (this will be as applicable based on the state location and/or function of the role)Agree and comply with Child Safety policies and proceduresProvide a current driver's license and willingness to travel across Housing Choices' locations, if and as required.
