NEWLY CREATED ROLE We have an exciting new opportunity for two hands-on Housekeeping Supervisors to join our teams and help set up our new Housekeeping departments at Essence Apartments Chermside and Essence Suites Taringa on a permanent full-time basis.
PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role as Housekeeping Supervisor is to lead and motivate the Housekeeping and Public Area Cleaning team to achieve daily cleaning excellence across our properties. You will demonstrate your natural leadership skills and ability to be solution-focused, actively guiding your team to consistently achieve benchmarks and drive guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms (including balconies), guest corridors, linen rooms, housekeeping pantries and Public Areas in accordance with procedures and checklists.Managing the rostering and performance of employees.Assist in the selection, training and mentoring of the team.Manage all guest complaints within company guidelines and escalate where necessary.Attend all briefings, meetings and training as assigned by management.Ensure arrival rooms are checked daily to ensure rooms are maintained to a quality standard.Understand and ensure the safe usage and storage of cleaning/chemical agents in line with health & safety regulations.To be successful for this role:
Can demonstrate 1-2 years previous hotel housekeeping supervisory experience.Will be confident using a computer, and able to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel).Can multi-task, and work well in high-pressure situations.You will be well presented and always professionally groomed.Lead by example, and be results and service-oriented with a keen eye for detail.Commitment to working across our Essence Chermside & Essence Taringa properties if required to cover leave.Available to work full time (38 hours per week) across a Monday to Sunday roster.Hold valid working rights in Australia.Be willing to obtain a National Police Check.WHO WE ARE Across our workforce we have built an enviable culture of trust, engagement, collaboration, and fun.
