Your role at St John of God Warrnambool Hospital You will be working as a Hospital Medical Officer providing inpatient and ward based medical services at St John of God Healthcare (SJGHC) Warrnambool.
The Position Undertakes clinical duties as rostered including: Assisting with the medical care of patients admitted to the ward under an accredited specialist in general medicine.
Record keeping including appropriate certificates and discharge planning Liaison with specialists and general medical practitioners Be available to review any patient on the Warrnambool campus whose condition causes concern, and/or nursing staff unable to contact doctor.
To attend Medical Emergency Team and Code Blue calls for any patient or visitor within the hospital.
Work with a variety of medical, nursing and allied health practitioners in a multi-disciplinary care environment.
You will be registered as a Medical Practitioner with Ahpra and have clinical experience in the position of an HMO or General Practitioner (beyond internship).
You will have experience in self-management and organisation of work to achieve agreed outcomes and the ability to manage common medical and surgical clinical emergency presentations on the ward.
