Hospital Coordinator - Afternoon and Night DutyJoin our hospital leadership team and make a differenceSupportive environment as you grow and utilise your clinical experienceFree on-site staff car parking and close to public transportCasual shifts, Monday - Sunday | PM shifts and night dutiesAbout the roleAre you a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse, who has had previous management experience and is ready to undertake this key leadership role?John Fawkner is seeking a Hospital Coordinator to join our team on a casual basis. The role will see you working PM shifts on a rotating roster from Monday - Sunday to support our hospital leadership team.As the Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standardsSupport and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and DepartmentsAssist with coordination of staffingManage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processesCoordinate patient admissions and provide discharge planning supportSupport the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare StandardsMaintain the safety of staff, patients and visitorsEligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of AustraliaMinimum 5 years working as a Registered NurseAbility to manage competing demands and co-ordinate resources appropriatelyAdvanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skillsDemonstrate effective analytical and problem-solving skillsRegistered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration with at least 5 years' experienceRecent experience in bed management and/or patient flowDemonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staffHigh degree of computer literacy including MS OfficeExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsLeadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team membersTo Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
