Oz Homestayis a leading homestay provider for overseas students in Sydney metropolitan areas, Wollongong, Newcastle and Northern NSW. We are currently seeking a Homestay Coordinator to join our team located in Homebush West.
The person will also be responsible for matching students with homestay hosts based on the assessment of their application, as well as mediating between hosts and students when one or both parties raise issues regarding the homestay placement. This may sometimes require the Homestay Coordinator to be available for student arrival calls outside of typical hours for airport pickups.
The successful applicant will meet the following selection criteria:
previous experience in an administration role
demonstrated customer service focus with the ability to interact well with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds
highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks
excellent written and verbal communication skills
demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as being self motivated and able to work unsupervised
demonstrated empathy in managing culturally sensitive situations
high attention to detail in order to provide accuracy in data entry and documentation
excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
a mature approach and positive attitude
ability to complete tasks under pressure and within tight time frames
experience in accommodation reservations or student accommodation
knowledge of the International Student industry and Australian visa requirements
