Hills Tankers are seeking highly skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to join the team at our Beresfield facility.
We are looking for people with a positive 'can do attitude' and we will consider a wide range of applicants with mechanical experience.
Responsibilities: Conduct service and repairs on our fleet of late model prime movers and tankers.Complete all relevant paperwork as required by NHVAS standards.Breakdown diagnostics support.Maintain equipment and small plant where required.Fault finding, diagnostics and maintenance.Follow preventative maintenance schedules.Maintain a safe and clean work area.Ensure Hills Tankers processes and procedures are followed.Skills & Experience: Mechanical Trade Qualification (required).Driver's Licence (required).Experience with Wabco EBS (highly regarded).Experience with prime movers and tankers (highly regarded).Technical and practical understanding of fuel tankers (desirable).Enthusiastic and motivated team player.Pride and care in workmanship.A competitive hourly rate based on experience.Monday to Friday roll with regular overtime available.Based a short drive from Newcastle.Family owned with a supportive team culture.Work-life balance, being home every night.Uniform and PPE provided.Opportunity for career progression.Internal & external training and upskilling.Safe and professional work environment.State of the art Brand New Workshop.About us: Hills Tankers is a family owned bulk liquids carrier, operating predominately throughout the eastern states of Australia.
