The Opportunity:We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a leading civil project based in Nhulunbuy on the spectacular Gove Peninsula, NT.
This role will see you working with a team of skilled mechanics, servicemen (both fuel and lube truck) and boilermakers, to ensure all work is completed to quality and safety standards.
You will oversee work order management to meet business objectives and customer expectations.
Where you will be working: Based out of the Gove Operations site, at Nhulunby on the beautiful Gove PeninsulaLive in role working in Mobilisation and DemobilisationClose by accommodation - a single apartment or household provided based on your needsDay shift role with no late nights or weekendsWorking as part of the Rio Tinto Gove projectAbout the role: Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified diesel Mechanic (does not need to be Heavy equipment)Working across Monday - Friday, approximately 10 hours per dayIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of business operationsManaging external vendors and establishing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers or service providersManaging labour allocation of internal employees and external contractors to ensure efficient team operationsPromoting and demonstrating safety behaviours and reporting processesProviding necessary support and advice to the team to minimise delays in job completionStock inventory and order managementCustomer liaison, working across multiple communication platformsRaising job cards and monitoring work progressCareer progression opportunities at an exciting time for the Gove Civil projectWorking alongside a small team of industry specialists with all the support needed on your front doorstepSkills & Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified diesel MechanicPrevious experience in a similar rolePrevious experience on a mine site advantageousExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to oversee, delegate and assist with tasks if and when requiredNot afraid to give constructive feedbackThank you for considering your application with FHR.
