As part of our growing team, you will have opportunities for career advancement while working alongside senior management on daily operations.Job Summary:Our team is currently looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality workmanship through scheduled maintenance and repairs on WA Fuel's fleet of trucks and fuel trailers, as well as assisting on 24-hour breakdowns when required. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking Diesel Mechanic to apply their skills in a company that offers a competitive salary and benefits.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ongoing maintenance and optimization of WA Fuel's fleet.Working safely and adhering to relevant HSE policy and procedures to minimize the risk of injury to yourself and others.Repairs, servicing, and testing to company vehicles, fuel trailers, and equipment as per company service schedule.Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.Conduct SLP checks on trucks and trailers.Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles and equipment.Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and effectively.Attend breakdowns (where required).Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop.Assist workshop manager and fellow team members.Skills and Experience:Prior experience in a similar position.Australian recognised trade certificate (Heavy vehicle essential).Commitment to safety and quality assurance.High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles.Experience in diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults.Current HR or above driver's license.Experience with fuel tankers is highly desirable.Working at heights and Forklift high-risk licenses (highly desirable).Fire extinguisher test and tag certificate (highly desirable).Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Strong work ethic and positive attitude.WA Fuel is an equal opportunity employer, and this is your opportunity to be part of an exciting journey with our company.
